We are seeking a legal assistant/paralegal to assist our attorneys.
We are interested in an energetic and organized individual who wants to make a difference in the community, working on big and small cases with national, regional, and local importance.
Prior legal experience is not necessary, though always welcome.
jedOur firm assists with various cases, from small individual bankruptcies and consumer protection claims up to national class action cases in the realm of consumer lending and credit reporting.
Job Duties include:
Experience working with customers/clients and able to work with a wide variety of clientele; Extremely organized; Able to help move a high volume of cases forward; Help attorneys get a high volume of cases ready for filing; Work with clients to collect necessary paperwork and motivate them to bring the needed paperwork in; Follow up with clients and attorneys; Enjoys fast-pasted work; Can use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel; Able to maintain client confidence; Multitasking and prioritizing are a must; Paralegal certification is preferred but not required; Work experience is required; Able to pass a drug screen; Our generous benefits package includes:
